Healing in Telluride

So…Telluride was amazing!

I don’t know if it was the golden leaves, the warm breeze, the sound of the creek flowing outside our bedroom window, the amazing views from our many gondola rides, watching the sunset from atop a mountain or all the quality time we spent together, but something about Telluride healed my heart.

I came into town a stressed out, broken, hurting mess who couldn’t tell left from right and I returned a girl with a whole heart again and a smile on my face. I feel like myself again. My life has been so….not normal for the past few months, especially the past 4 weeks, and there is nothing in this world that I needed more right now than to just feel normal again. Or at least partly normal.

We did absolutely nothing for four days. And those four days were hands down some of the best days I’ve had in the past year….or three. We ate breakfast on our patio, we took little photo safaris, walked around town, went fishing, ate yummy food, sat in front of the fireplace, slept in and just generally had the most relaxing and restoring weekend imaginable.

Thank you Telluride, for everything. 🙂

Such a cute little town!

We spent a whole evening just sitting on top of the ski area watching the sunset and talking, it was perfect

My associate photographer who got us this trip put us up in this sweeet lodge! We LOVED our room! It had a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a patio on the creek and 2 hot tubs. We will most definitely be back to this hotel.

The photos are beautiful! I especially love the last picture of you and that white shirt you're wearing. 🙂

  2. I am so so happy that you were able to put back some of the pieces after such a difficult few months you have had. Thinking of you and anxious to hear where you're headed next!
