Being the maid of honor, I was running around all over the place all weekend and didn’t have half a second to take more pictures. So a lot of these are from other people, sorry I don’t have of my own to share! Boooo! But what I do have, I will share happily! And when we get our hands on all of the professional pictures, I’ll share those too!
We headed up to the mountains on Thursday to check into our condo and check out the wedding venue/amazing home/haven of wonderfulness where my sister was staying and where the wedding would take place. It sits up in the pine trees on several acres of land with amazing views of the Breckenridge valley below. Absolutely amazing!
Friday consisted of grocery shopping, meeting up with family, waiting out a wicked hail storm, freezing during the rehearsal and enjoying the lovely rehearsal dinner. Such a packed day, but oh-so fun! David drove 3.5 hours straight from work to be at the rehearsal dinner, lucky me! Poor guy, I was running all over the place socializing that we barely got a chance to see each other!
Friday night after the rehearsal dinner, all the bridesmaids stayed at the house, chatting around a warm fire and I even got to sleep in the massive master bed with the bride-to-be 🙂
Saturday was one of the best days in my life so far (almost as good as my own wedding day!). It was relaxed, joyous and beautiful. We had awesome weather, happy guests, a heartfelt ceremony, lots of professional pictures taken (yay!!), yummy food for dinner(Chipotle!) and a rockin’ party! Every minute was full of laughter and smiles. It was a perfect day, absolutely flawless….except for the fact that I tripped and fell while walking into the ceremony. But let’s not talk about that 😉
I am still just so overwhelmed from such an amazing weekend. I was so honored to stand by my sister’s side, so grateful to have witnessed this new marriage begin, so happy to have danced the night away and eaten Funfetti wedding cake 😉
Yay! Yay! Yay!!!! 🙂
