Wedding!!!

Oh my goodness you guys, where do I even begin!? This past weekend was so amaaaaaaazing! My sister and her husband had been planning this beautiful wedding for the better part of a year now and I can’t believe how fast the big day flew by. It was such a magical whirlwind of a weekend, I loved every single second!

Being the maid of honor, I was running around all over the place all weekend and didn’t have half a second to take more pictures. So a lot of these are from other people, sorry I don’t have of my own to share! Boooo! But what I do have, I will share happily! And when we get our hands on all of the professional pictures, I’ll share those too!

We headed up to the mountains on Thursday to check into our condo and check out the wedding venue/amazing home/haven of wonderfulness where my sister was staying and where the wedding would take place. It sits up in the pine trees on several acres of land with amazing views of the Breckenridge valley below. Absolutely amazing!

Friday consisted of grocery shopping, meeting up with family, waiting out a wicked hail storm, freezing during the rehearsal and enjoying the lovely rehearsal dinner. Such a packed day, but oh-so fun! David drove 3.5 hours straight from work to be at the rehearsal dinner, lucky me! Poor guy, I was running all over the place socializing that we barely got a chance to see each other!

The future Mr. & Mrs.!

Friday night after the rehearsal dinner, all the bridesmaids stayed at the house, chatting around a warm fire and I even got to sleep in the massive master bed with the bride-to-be šŸ™‚

Saturday was one of the best days in my life so far (almost as good as my own wedding day!). It was relaxed, joyous and beautiful. We had awesome weather, happy guests, a heartfelt ceremony, lots of professional pictures taken (yay!!), yummy food for dinner(Chipotle!) and a rockin’ party! Every minute was full of laughter and smiles. It was a perfect day, absolutely flawless….except for the fact that I tripped and fell while walking into the ceremony. But let’s not talk about that šŸ˜‰

Ā
Ahhhhhhhhhh the flowers. Everyone loved the flowers!
I was obsessed with my hair. We had a little dream team of hair and make-up come to the house and make us all look lovely!
Ā
I lost it a little bit once she was in her dress….I gave her “something blue” to carry with her to the ceremony, which was a ring that David had given me for our 5th anniversary. It’s a symbol to me of how wonderful love and marriage is and how that love gets sweeter with each year that goes by. It meant a lot to me to have her carry that with her! I’m thankful for waterproof makeup šŸ˜‰

While the girls spent all day getting ready, David went fishing and had a very successful day! So successful that he cut it pretty close to make the shuttle on time to the wedding! He sure does love to fish… šŸ™‚

Loved their happy little ceremony site!

The girls and our pretty flowers. I LOVED how we all got to choose our own dress, I think they look beautiful together! And how interesting that none of us chose a strapless dress, such fun necklines!
Pretty centerpieces! The table numbers were glitter, love that!

One of the professional sneak peeks we got from my friend and amazing photographer! Yay!

I am still just so overwhelmed from such an amazing weekend. I was so honored to stand by my sister’s side, so grateful to have witnessed this new marriage begin, so happy to have danced the night away and eaten Funfetti wedding cake šŸ˜‰

Yay! Yay! Yay!!!! šŸ™‚

  2. I am so in love with the entire theme of that wedding. The professional pictures are going to be stunning if this is what the “normal” pictures already look like. Gorgeous bride and matron of honor!

  3. Becky! You and your sister both look SO gorgeous!! I LOVE the pictures of just the two of you. Looks like a beautiful wedding. My sister's weddings were always so much fun and my favorites too. There's just something about celebrating your sister's day. šŸ™‚
